Abstract
It was settled as an objective to classify the physical/fitness condition and analyze the relationship between measurements in Physical Education students of San Sebastián University in each venue/ office and by cohort. Physical performance and body composition variables were measured in Concepción headquarters with 146 students, Santiago with 108, Valdivia with 51 and Puerto Montt with 85. Anthropometric measurements, hand grip, speed in 20 meters, sit ups in 30 seconds, vertical jumps, forward flexion of the trunk and cardio respiratory test in step (Queen College test) were performed. SPSS program number 19 with descriptive and inferential statistics was used in the analysis of results, in the latter the normality of the data was checked and correlation tests were applied. In most of the venues and cohorts it was found a normal IMC index and a Waist-Height ratio of low cardiovascular risk and mortality, and VO2 max and appropriate hand grip by gender and age. Also there were found associations between triceps skin fold and arm muscle area (rho=0.98; p<0.01), between hand grip and sit ups (r = 0.422; p <0.01), between speed at 20 meters and height in CMJ (r = - 0.616; p <0.01). It was concluded that physical condition and body composition are suitable according to gender and age of subjects, also that some variables of physical condition and body composition are related in a significant way
